5 Week Basic Modeling Workshop

This 5 week workshop is taught by well-known fashion model Dalarna.

In each 1 hour class, you will receive on-set instruction in modeling as well as information about the industry and how to be properly prepared for your gigs. Each class is limited to 5 people.

After each workshop, there will be option of having photos taken of what you've learned by photographer Alley Z for an additional $20.

Week 1

• Runway Techniques - strut, stomp, and sexy your way down the runway.
• Projecting Self-Confidence - the key to any good presentation is self-confidence. Learn how to be star, even when you don’t feel like one.
• Please bring high heeled shoes for practice.

Week 2

• Glamour shoots and Parts Modeling - this up-close workshop will help you learn what to do on a glamour shoot and identify if you have parts (arms, hands, legs, feet) that will help you cash in.
• Grooming yourself - as a model, your body is your product. Learn what how to best show your product at all times.

Week 3

• Poise and Posture - from catalog to high-fashion, knowing what to do with your body and when will make all the difference.
• Nutrition and Exercise -  need that extra something? Find out what nutrition and exercise tips will do you a world of good.

Week 4

• Head Movements and Facial Expressions - emoting on demand is a necessity for all models. See which expressions you can sell the best.
• What to Bring on a Shoot, and Model Releases - what should be in your bag when you show up on set, and what you should expect with Model Releases.

Week 5

• Creating a Signature Look - all you all the time. What you can do to create a signature look that will get you called in again and again.
• Selling Yourself - flattery may get you anywhere, but what about modesty? How to talk about yourself to get the job.
