Fashion
Photography Intensive Workshop
Whether for editorial or advertising usage, the purpose of a fashion photograph is to sell a product. Participants in this two day intensive workshop will explore all of the creative controls involved in producing a successful fashion photograph: initial concept, casting choices, creative use of hair, make-up and styling of the garment. Along with production choices comes the creative use of photographic technique, and finally directing and working with the model on the set. The focus and intent of this workshop is to help participants discover their own style, create new pictures for their portfolios, and ultimately leave them fully prepared to produce creative fashion images for personal or commercial use.
Models and a make-up artist will be provided. Participants are expected to have basic photography and studio lighting knowledge.
- Discussion of beauty products and beauty lighting.
- Beauty Lighting demonstration.
- Understanding the color palette: working with the model, make-up artist and hairdresser.
- Students shoot both beauty and fashion photos with the model.
